Show Schedule Modifications and clean up

Hi Everyone,

As time allows, I'd like to start cleaning up some elements around UAB where applicable. This includes shows or scheduling that may or may not be favorable to users. So I'd be curious what you our beloved listenerbase would be curious in axing.

My first choices are:
The Artist Block
As much as I love some of the Live entertainment around the parks. Others are fairly forgettable and are submitted for variety and because others may have memories or enjoyment associated with them. The tracks are there to be requested. While I love the Intro that Ellory and I did (I can't do a Scottish accent to save my life and delighted in him trying to coach me through it), My ex-wife was the voice of the waitress...and even though we're on wonderful terms. It was another part of my life.

Extra Magic Hour
Same as the above. Ex-wife again was the voice of the "Princess" while I was the "control room guy". Again much the same as the above. I LOVE and ADORE many of the parades and spectaculars over the Disney park history. But 1 hour of JUST this to me is a little much. I much enjoyed working with my ex to create this. Still. It's not m favorite show topic.

Threefer Thursdays
While fun in principal. Depending on what's picked, the person's membership level and a few other variables. This could find a bottleneck in track requests ALL day. I'd rather even the playing field some for Thursdays. It's no secret that Thursdays and Ellory's EPCOT experience are my favorite days. That show's not going anywhere. Smile

So if you plan on listing it. Save your fingers/breath Smile

To put a little more context to this, here is our schedule of shows:

Sunday:
1:00pm - 3:00pm - Ellory's EPCOT Experience

Monday:
9:00am - 10:00am - The Walt Disney World Explorer
1:00pm - 2:00pm - The Disneyland Expedition

Tuesday:
All Day! - The Twofer Tuesdays Fastpass
8:00am and 1:00pm - UAB Your Way!

Wednesday:
10:00am - 11:00am - The Artists Block
3:00pm-4:00pm - The Extra Magic Hour!

Thursday:
10:00am - 12:00pm - Ellory's EPCOT Experience
3:00pm - 12:00am - Threefer Thursdays!

Friday:
10:00am - Top 10 Requests of The Week

Saturday:
No special programming

I agree with what tE has suggested, and in addition, I would suggest moving UAB Your Way to Wednesday so that Twofer Tuesday is a day of twofer's only, and since Wednesday would be now open, it would be a good day for this.

why stop at four? Why not five?

Well - change is always inevitable, but I never like change - but these are tolerable - however, UAB Your Way reporting would need to be taken over if it is moved to Wednesdays, at least in the winter months as it would be very hard for me to report as I have other family commitments on Wednesdays in the winter months ... but then it is not about me it is about our great listener base and what everyone wants and what works best ... I am always wondering if anyone other than me actually reads and reacts to those posts anyway ... keep us posted as to what is actually changing and I know I will love it ...

Have to admit that I forget when it's a two-fer or three-fer day , so I will accept any changes made.

I'm fine with The Artist Block and Extra Magic going. Not that I don't like them of course, they are my least favorites.

I like the suggestion of moving the Your Way Show to fill the Wed. spots if that happens, and leaving Tues for 2 for 1s.

I don't know how easy it is to whip up a new show, but there could be something for the other parks. An hour of Hollywood Studios/Animal Kingdom/California Adventure - either one or some mix of them might be nice.

Or one about just the mountains. Or transportation related (monorail/boats/etc..) I'm just spit-balling here.

A 30 minute "Artist's Block" would be great - I enjoy that show as there are tracks on there that aren't requested a lot but always enjoy hearing ... but whatever Te, dp and ltldeb and whoever else is working on this come up with will be awesome - just thankful that they put so much into our everyday enjoyment ...
