Interesting side note, when I was a kid I met the real Fast Eddie Felson in the 80's. My folks owned and ran a small motel in north central Kansas, and I was running things while they were taking care of some errands. I registered Mr. Felson and talked to him a bit, totally clueless about who he was. All I remember really, is he had a fancy car and his license plate was "9-BALL".
