OK, honestly, that doesn't bother me in the slightest. Everywhere you go, you are surrounded by screaming kids, and parents who don't seem to have any skills handling them. I think a fine dining establishment, like this one, needs to have a rule like this, in order to maintain the feeling of excellence. I applaud Disney for making this choice. _________________

I agree, this is a good move... Besides, they might be able to get their fourth star, now that little kids aren't allowed.... _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

I'm in agreement. there is no reason why Disney should not be allowed to place a restriction like this on a fine restaurant like this.
I think the sentiment of the other restaurant is fine to... If the parents can not control the kids, kick the entire party out. Problem is what defines the criteria for when you say get out and when you don't. I'd think having a clear policy like this is easier and less painful to enforce. You aren't kicking some one out which would destroy everyones enjoyment, including other patrons.
The only part of the article I objected to was the comment about ?Disney going full circle and implying Walt would have objected to this. What little reading I've done about Walt never implied he was in favor of undisciplined and unruly kids, or that he never thought parents needed time alone.
And as stated they do this on the cruises already and for pleasure Island.
So Good for Disney. Those of you that dine there enjoy. Unfortunately at that price, until I win a dinner there on UAB, (Which I am pretty sure ain't gonna happen), it is still outside my price range. So Bon Apetit. |

I think it's a good move on their part. It's pretty sad though that they had to actually make it a rule. Common sense should tell these parents that this is not a restaurant for the little ones. Oh, that's right. Common sense went the way of the dinosaurs _________________ Kathy

I really don't think its so terrible that they decided to set an age limit. If I was paying that much for a meal, I wouldn't want to listen to someone's whiney child nor would I expect anyone to listen to my boisterous 7 year old complain about being bored. _________________ No one understands my obsession but you guys. Not that I disagree but if parents had their kids under control then this wouldn't be necessary however you do go to WDW with kids to enjoy family so .... but anyway good move Disney now the folks have something to look forward too.... Right? _________________

I kinda wish there were some other adult only restaurants at WDW, but it's tough when your whole business is set around family. |

True, but it is the quiet time for the parents that keeps it a family business.
And being able to capture some time for the person you chose to be the most important person in your life helps to strengthen that family.
I agree, it is a shame that some folks have not taught their children how to behave, but it is unfortunately true. |

im ok with the ban. How many kids actually dine there. Secondly, its supposed to be a romantic envening- sorry but romance does NOT go with a screaming 3 year old. Lastly, I dont think it will affect the number of bookings at all |

I didn't even realize that kids where allowed in to begin with. It should b common sense that its not a place for kids.
It really was one of the best meals I have ever had! |
