Hi All,

The book, or rather books, we will be discussing will be "The Imagineering Field Guide to ..." series. Since these are fast easy reads I figured that we can easily discuss all three. So in case you are needing to go out and grab them there is one for the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom. They are fun short books. Hope to see you in the Book Chat.

Hi Everyone,

This just a reminder that this chat will be next Monday March 10th. The books are short so it would not take long to get through them and remember that March Madness is in effect so there is a bonus to coming to chat. Hope to see you there.

BTW - We are renaming the Chat to "Media Chat" This way we can include subjects like Movies, CD's and Podcasts. So look forward to a lively discussion.

Forgive the question, but I have been doing a lot of searching and can't find it:

What time do the chats start?

It would help to have the time listed with the date and event each time.
Thanks for your help.

I'm in the PST zone

If you click on the Chat button above, it will open the Chat page, where the entire Chat schedule is displayed, below the Chat box.... Very Happy

But you're right, we should mention the times and events with each announcement. Thanks for your feedback!

Monday Night Chat is at:

8pm (est)
7pm (cdt)
5pm (pst)

Thanks. I wasn't looking at the obvious.
I've really enjoyed those guide books. Much incite and good insider info.
Unfortunately, I've been having problems with Flash and Java (and other media related things) on my computer. Going to the Chat page, it looks like I'm not going to be able to even log in - I think I'm going to a Mac as soon as we can find the money for one.

Thanks again for the quick reply and pointing me in the right direction.

What makes you believe your Java will not function for chat? Maybe we can help troubleshoot the issue so you can join us tonight.

When I go to the chat page, there is a big, blank window with nothing in it. When I try to install ActiveX, the computer blocks it, saying that Microsoft is an unknown publisher. Also, when I've tried to download Flash, nothing happens. Trying to open Windows Media Player - nothing happens.
Some kind of virus has gotten in I think.
I paid for service by GeekSquad when I got the computer at BestBuy, but it's hard to find the time to take it in, and be without a computer at all. Also, I want to back everything up before I take it in. Things haven't worked out well when I've taken others in for service before. That's why I'd like to just buy a new one and go Mac this time. Thanks though.

I'll assume you're using Internet Explorer. Go to Java.com and download Java for Windows, follow the prompts and see what happens. Another route you can take is to download Mozilla and download Java for Mozilla. You may find far less problems with Mozilla than IE.

Give it a shot, it's free so you've got nothing to loose.

I'd recommend looking in to Firefox. While it takes a bit longer to initialize, it seems more robust to me than IE.

Am I the only person that does not have problems with IE?

Do you mean only one on UAB or the only one in total?

(Not that the answer changes mind you...)
