Head of Hong Kong Disneyland leaves
Reuters, 1/11/2006
Walt Disney Co. said on Monday it has appointed a new managing director for its recently opened Hong Kong Disneyland following the departure of his predecessor, who left to run a resort in the Bahamas.
Bill Ernest, who has been head of operations for Hong Kong Disneyland, will take over as managing director of the park from Don Robinson, who was named president of Baha Mar, a joint venture resort between casino operator Harrah's entertainment and Starwood Hotels.
Before joining Hong Kong Disneyland, which opened last September to much fanfare as the company's first theme park aimed at the growing Chinese market, Ernest helped run Disney Cruise Line and was also once head of operations at Walt Disney World, the company said. _________________ Dave.... |
