I've used both a Mac and a PC for work and home use, and I've gotta say, I prefer Firefox on both. It's way better than IE, and it's even better than Apple's native Safari browser.
It's seemingly infinitely customizable, developer friendly and gets tons of support from both the actual dev team and the huge user-based developer community.
Using Firefox with only AdBlock Plus, I haven't seen a pop-up or banner ad in years, no exaggeration. I have plenty of other add-ons to further customize and enhance the browser, but that one add-on alone makes it better than any current browser on the web.
Throw in both GreaseMonkey and Stylish, and there's really no end to how customizable the browser can be. If I had the wherewithal, I could even develop scripts for this site.
Granted, a lot of what makes Firefox so great is also available on other browsers like Chrome and Opera now, but Firefox works so well that I've never had any reason to look elsewhere.
