Well, I was going to finish ironing out the details of this, but with the broadcast down, we need something to do....
So, we have started a search for an official Utilidors Audio Broadcasting Mascot!
This process will take place in a few steps:
Phase 1/Nomination Duration: 2 Weeks
For two weeks, we will accept nominations from UAB members. These nominations must meet the few requirments (to be listed)
Phase 2/Preliminary Selection Duration: 1 Week
During this period, the Admins and Mods will choose the top nominations (specific number to be determined later). These top nominations will then be released for polling by all UAB members.
Phase 3/Final Selection Duration: 2 Weeks
During this phase the top nominations will be voted upon, by all UAB members (exact method of voting to be determined later). At the end of this phase, the winner will be announced!
Nomination Restrictions:
*Must be a specific Disney character
*Can not be considered a major character (such as the Fab Five, Stitch, Tinkerbelle, etc...)
*Must embody the spirit of Disney and UAB, but nominations do not need to "conform" or be limited to UAB Travel theme
*Can not be a mascot of another Disney website
*UAB Members are limited to just 2 or 3 nominations
*Feel free to second a current nomination if you want
*Nominations must be made either in this thread, submitted to an admin/mod (such as PM, IM, or email), or submitted to an admin/mod during the Friday night chat session. All nominations will be documented in this thread, regardless of how they are submitted.
*Admins and Mods have the right to disapprove or remove nominations if we feel that the nomination violates any UAB policies or the spirit of this search.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know and I would be happy to assist. Also, I am starting this before I had a chance to iron out all of the details, so a few details may change during this process. There should not be any major shifts, just ironing out the details.
Now, lets have fun!!
We have come up with a cool way to introduce our members to the new Mascot, once it has been choosen. These details will come to light, once the search has concluded.... trust me, you will love it!

How about the Abominable Snowman (Matterhorn), the old guy in the rocking chair (Pirates of the Caribbean), or the Graveyard Keeper with the skinny dog (Haunted Mansion)
Well, I am kind of partial to one Mr. Toad. He could easily have highjacked this airline and put us all to work.
But if we are going with a little more out of the way characters, how about Humphrey the Bear? Or what was the name of the Bee from some of the Donald shorts? He could match up well the airline theme.
Oh, I also thought of Casey Jr. to go with the train theme that the parks have. But then that wouldn’t match the airline theme here, I guess. But we all could be shoveling coal, or conductors, or other various train jobs. Just a thought.
