Hey everyone! I took a trip down to DLR on Tuesday, and i got some pictures of the new happenings around the park.
First off, the new Mark VII Monorail Blue was out and about, making early morning runs.
Didn't get a chance to ride one, the line was very very long, and by 12 they had the old Dreams Monorail out instead.
Next up, New Orleans Square Updates.
The French Market Restauraunt is taking a refurb along with the New Orleans Square Railroad station, so they are piggybacking on the Haunted Mansion's Halloween Decoration time. That entire area is closed.
Tuesday was the first day that Haunted Mansion was closed, and they already had the Haunted Mansion Holiday Clock up.
Here is how this masterpiece of a ride turned out last Halloween:
Next is McDonald's, which also saw its First Day of closure on Tuesday.
Say Goodbye to the Harbour Gallery:
And Goodbye to the Frontierland Fry cart:
Now onto Fantasyland. After Reading Kurt's Blog, i really had the urge to see if the skyway's station really still was there. And guess what... it was! The blocked it off, but there is still a small gap that you can sneak into if you wanted a closer look.
And for all you WDW people.... Ha!
Next up is the updates to It's a Small World. The progress is coming along great, and the main clocktower has now been revealed from the tarps. It looks like it will be good to go in Early December( Its projected reopening date).
The toy store is still also being worked on.
We were not satisfied with what we saw, so we hopped on the Tontown Train Station Train to get a closer look.
And now,
the reason you came;
the most spectacular site you'll see all day.
ladies and gentlemen,
a true wonder of the world!
a splendiferous sight of epic proportions!
a once in a lifetime opportunity!
ladies and gentlemen!
today's the day,
never again!
never before!
ladies and gentlemen!
get your cameras up!
get your children up!
because you won't see this anywhere else in the world today!
ladies and gentlemen,
I give you,
without further ado,
the much heralded!
the much anticipated!
the much awaited!
the much sought after!
the much talked about!
the much ballyhooed!
the pinacle of sight and sound that's unparalelled and unprecedented by anything else in the world today!
ladies and gentlemen!
I give you,
the pinacle of your post experience!
the crescendo of your post day!
ladies and gentlemen,
a sight that's unrivalled by anything else in the world today!
ladies and gentlemen,
you've searched the ends of the earth!
the corners of the globe!
the edges of the universe!
ladies and gentlemen,
the sole reason you came to my post!
it's amazing!
incredible!
astounding!
fascinating!
ladies and gentlemen,
the highlight of the cruise!
ladies and gentlemen,
the sight that you'll be telling your grandchildren about for generations!
ladies and gentlemen,
the backside of It's A Small World!!
Ok. I really had to do that after reading that in Kurt's Blog. Thanks Kurt! If you can't see, the trenches are empty, but much deeper than they were before.
Last, but not least, Tomorrowland hd some big updates in progress.
The back room queue for Star Tours (before you enter the main builing was blocked off, but the wall hooks all the way around tho the Buzz Lightyear Entrance.) was under renovation.
These updates caused Buzz Lightyear not to be able to use its normal entrance, thus turning off Fastpasses (Of course, the day we win Dreams Fastpasses, Space mountain has a 10 minute wait all day and half of the rides aren't using their fastpasses.)
This is a very interesting update. Honestly, Star Tours doesn't need the back room, and with the new Jedi academy, the New Peoplemovers in the works willl not be able to embark from where they once did. Could this be where the new station is planned for? Only time will tell if Tomorrowland's other "Highway in the Sky" will be filled once again.
I have one update from DCA, and it comes at paradise pier.
I got one last picture of the Sun Wheel before it become's Mickey's Fun Wheel on September 11th.
That's It for my updates at Disneyland! Hope you enjoyed!

When is the Haunted Mansion scheduled to re-open? My husband and I will be there the last weekend of September and I didn't even think of it being down for the NBC overhaul.

I thought they were just getting rid of the McDonald's sponsorship of the WestWard Ho wagon. I thought the wagon itself was staying. I hope it stays. I like it!

HMH usually opens in October...check the calendar for the dates you are attending (official site) and it will list what attractions will be down---check closer to your departure too---sometimes things change at the last minute!

The website is saying the Mansion should open three days before we're there... *crossing my fingers*
