I've certainly heard of that series of books, so I don't think they could be considered too obscure, as clues go. And I love it when these are challenging!
For which character's animation did the animator use the movements of a rattlesnake preparing to strike as inspiration? |

That would also make sense, but not Kaa. It's a villain that changes shape through the movie. |

Although Jafar does change shapes, even into a giant cobra, that still isn't who we're looking for here. Try the other gender. |
