Not Woody. This character was very much the over protective father, just didn’t “clown” around much at all.

Not Maleficent. This movie is from the early 80s but it is live action.

Could it have been the original “Race to Witch Mountain”? Not sure if that was 80’s or if it came prior.

Not Race to Witch Mountain, but there was a creepy element to this movie. As well as a tie in to a Shakespeare play.
