DancinBelle, good luck with the Dancing and welcome to the site.
I have two daughters that have been learning step for 5 & 4 yrs respectively. It is a great dance to watch, but it sure can get expensive. I'm hoping my son will want to try it... |

Hope you come to enjoy UAB as much as we all do.
That's really cool that you're an irish dancer, I competed some in high school (though nothing beyond a few local feis a couple times a year) and now I'm in a ceili group at college. From the girls (and guys) who have learned it in college it's definitely something anyone can learn and enjoy.

My name goes back to my days of doing Renaissance re-enactment and the Florida Ren Fest in college. I came up with the name Raven St.Germaine, then made up a whole back story for her. It's my AIM name, and when I was a full-time freelancer I used the business name Raven Communications. When people asked me "Who's Raven St.Germaine?" I'd respond "My alter ego." I got a lot of strange looks.
Foxer - what a cool origin for your name! I love the Fox - such a cool history. My husband and I were just there last week to see Avenue Q. |

Wow! Irish step dancing and ceili. Donna and I thought about going to weekly dances to learn some set dancing, but it didn't pan out. We didn't even get to the festival this year due to other plans. Maybe this year. Depends who the entertainment is. _________________ [ |

Well, anyone in Virginia can see my dance school perform in the International Virginia Tattoo. They've been practicing it since January, then someone pulled out, and now I'm in! I only have what, 1 week to get ready?
And thank you for the avatar!!! _________________ The ending has not yet been written... |

HAHAHAHA!
Thanks for joining the site and hope you have fun.... you'll learn all of the "inside jokes" quickly (like the great "feud" between the Poly Fans, the Off Kilter Fans, and the sad Horizon's fans ) _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

HI Polymedic and Aloha ... Daguru is speaking of me the resident Poly fan on the site. If you ever get a chance look at how often I compared to others has requested the Poly music. It makes me laugh sometimes. _________________ Jason

Though I've been obsessed with movies since I was 14 (I'm nearing 25), the "90" stands for 1990, when I was 5 years old and the first movies I saw were "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "Jetsons: The Movie." |
