Since Disney released that awesome video last week, you know the one... the stop motion that looks like it is a model... yeah, that one!

That was made using specialized lenses that create an effect call TiltShift... This effect is usually created using special (and expensive) lenses, that are only available for certain makes/models right now...

Recently there has been some advances in photo edition software plugins and processing sites that ca mimic the TiltShift effect. While they are not quite as good as with the lenses, they are still pretty cool! I found this site: http://tiltshiftmaker.com/ to will allow you to apply the effect to any photo. I have played with a few photos this morning, what do you think (click thumbnails for larger versions):

I really like the Big Thunder one. Most of my park photos aren't good for tilt-shifting - they're not large panoramas looking down. Ah, next trip...

Although not Disney, here are some more tilt-shift vids that are really cool. Caught this a couple months back: http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/31855

You can also use Photoshop to enhance photos to look like tilt-shift. There are tutorials out there on the intarwebs.

Can easily be done in Photoshop with Graussain Blur lavyer masking and perspective mainpulation.
