The design for this character came from a process the animators dubbed the "hot man meeting". A meeting was set up with all female studio employees where they were asked their opinions of what made a man attractive.

Yes! Flynn/Eugene from Tangled. My next clue was going to be about not quite getting a consensus on what his nose should have looked like.
