Does anyone know if the mosaic pictures that were all around Disneyland last year are still available to see anywhere? I heard that maybe they didnt all get taken down.
I was contacted by Disneyland about 6 months before the promotion began and asked to submit my pictures. I had about 2000 I sent them.
Its a long story how it all came about, but unfortunately I never got out there to see them last year. But this June I think I'll be making my first trip to Disneyland, and I'd love to try to find the mosaics, even if there sitting in a warehouse someplace. _________________ "Somehow I can't believe there are any heights that can't be scaled

They have been down for some time now. I'm not sure if there is anywhere they can still be seen...maybe contact someone in guest relations who may know someone over at TDA that may know if they are stored or accessable or anything.
I know that of the photos I submitted (only a few), I was notified by email that a photo was used and informed how to go to the kiosk to find the photos in the mosaics.
There are some photos of the mosaics to be found online if you search for them.

Thanks for the info...
The person I dealt with on the project went out into the park and tok some snapshots of a few of them for me and mailed them to me. I got to know him pretty well, so maybe I'll drop him a line and see if he can get me a "backstage" viewing of them if they are still around.
I cant prove it, but I think a project I had sent in to (the now defunct) Disney Magazine was part of the inspiration for the Happiest Faces on Earth promotion. Here's a link to my mosaic that the magazine printed.

I miss Disney Magazine--So much better to receive that than Family fun with my annual pass!
Your mosaic is great! It would be awesome if they posted them somewhere so that you could actually zoom in to see the photos better!
Good idea to use a conection you made with the contest. One never can tell what happens to ALL the disney stuff that isn't used more than once.
Good luck! I hope you're able to see them!!!

The magazine was awesome. I wish I had the foresight to have kept them all. I dont even look at the family fun magazine any more. |
