Thanks for sharing. I particularly liked the picture of her in her favorite playing place. That is a cute picture.

thanks for the kind words everyone...

yeah, it has gone quick, and I have no idea what I'm going to do when she gets older. I can't go the mall any more because I can't stand to see what kids are wearing these days! I never noticed until now, and I am basically decreeing that she won't be able to leave the house starting at around 10. And maybe by the time she is 35 I will let her out again!

just kidding....kind of!

One thing we were very excited about was the day we were in NYC and happen to go into the Disney Store. They were doing a character meet and greet, so we asked who was in there. They said Cinderella would be in shortly, as there was already a long line forming, or we could walk in now to see Pluto and Minnie. "What the hay! Let's do it and see how she reacts." We walked in and saw Pluto first. She was a little hesitant, but once I started playing around with him, she was fine. Then once we saw Minnie, we thought she was going to loose it. She got soooo excited, almost jumped out of my arms. Loved playing with her nose and smiling at her. Yeah, she's a big fan. We've brain washed another one!

Actually, there is the possibility of us going out to Disneyland this summer if things fall the right way. We are thinking it should be a good age. While she won't remember everything, she should have a good time seeing the characters and doing some of the easy stuff. And lets be honest, it more about us watching her reactions to all the stuff anyway.

Sooo, while this might really be a topic for a different thread, your folks thoughts on the right time for the first trip to a Disney Park?

My boys have been going since they were born!! Seriously, my oldest visted WDW three times before he was a year old - great trips and wonderful memories for parents and grandparents!

Every child is different, so if you make allowances for your child's particular needs for sleep, food, etc., there is no reason you can't have a great trip with a younger child. The Child Care Centers in the parks are WONDERFUL!!

Start taking your kids when they are young.
We took our daughter to DL when she was just 9 months.
She got her first trip to WDW between 1 1/2 + 2 years old

The look of wonder and joy on the kids faces is pricless.

My daughter is 10 now and she still gets that look just telling her
we are packing to go to WDW. Very Happy
And for the record my wife gets the same look. Very Happy

Besides if you start them early they will be just as addicted as you by the
time they are in preschool.

So when is your trip???

Let me echo John's statement. I took Donna for the first time when she was....well, let's just say she was over 21. She wanted to have her picture taken with every character. I finally had to put my foot down. I was tired of standing in line.

We are all just big kids, but we still have to pay the adult admission.

Oh, when we go the Big Kids are going to be having much more fun then the little one, I can assure you that!

We might be out in CA to go to Disneyland at the end of August. Its up in the air right now due to other peoples plans, but if it doesn't happen I have a feeling we will be making a trip to the closer Orlando parks sometime around the end of summer/fall of next year.

Getting excited just thinking about it!
