I collect WDW brochures and WDW & Disneyland viewmaster reels. I imagine I'm not the only one here with the collector's bug. What do some of y'all collect?

Mostly we collect Haunted Mansion stuff, but we also like any vintage stuff from the parks, as well as attraction/park items.

Hmmm, only 5 or 10?

Well top 5 (in no particular order)

1) WDW/DLR Official Album (1991) That's when Horizons music really hit its stride on albums
2) 1st edition LP that has a scene from Pinocchio on it. The music on the album was the score to Pinocchio. I'd say it's circa 1940's.
3) Rehearsal cds from the shows I drummed in. They are the full tracks (most of the tracks you hear in the parks have been cut down, some never even made it to show!)
4) A WDW/DLR Offical Album that was released in Japan. It's a 2 disc set, but the second disc is one of those small discs that has the original Remember the Magic Parade.
5) The official album of EPCOT Center. (The actual album) - It's not that rare, but my family was there on opening day (we lived in Chicago back then, not Orlando) and my Mom & Dad bought this album. It's mint and framed in my office.

Rarest would be a Disneyland Plate from the 50's that we picked up in an antique shop for $20 (it's valued at about $100).

Oddest would be some 20,000 leagues attraction items: A Port Hole, a seat and seaweed! tE also has the same items so we thought we're slowly rebuild the attraction! Wink

What I really want is SOMETHING from Haunted Mansion (the attraction itself).

Oh, and deb, *I* don't collect Hag stuff, you do. Smile

Disney CDS

Vintage Disney collectables (Unfortunately this is now a trend and prices are $$)

Disney themepark items (Unfortunately this too is now a trend since they're so easy to get)

Why is it that all of the weird and quirky stuff I get involved in becomes a trend...

heh...

I collect everything pre-construction, construction, and opening of EPCOT Center (up to about 1992). After that, it wasn't EPCOT anymore... Sad

I like to collect pins. I also have some older (late 90's) editions of WDW guide books. It's a blast to read about the cool things that used to be. I find them at the "friend of library" sales and garage sales, ususally for under $1! =D
