go at christmas then. Smile

the temperatures totally vary...some years get hella cold (well, by california standards), others are really mild. i'd plan for everything from forty degrees to eighty degrees (layers!). the days can get stupidly warm, and the nights can be cold. i'm not sure what the daytime average is for oc in december, but when i lived in irvine (ten minutes or so from anah.), it usually seemed to hover in the 60s.

if you go in spring, the weather's a grab bag...may and june are sometimes subject to 'june gloom' and spring as a whole often features bitingly cool air at night. again, bringing layerable clothes is a really good idea. Very Happy

Yeah, it gets really cold at nights, but not that bad during the day.....

We will be there the beginning of August. Very Happy
Now all we have to do is wait for August. Wink

Ummm...from what I recall, "we" didn't book anything Wink You just carry the luggage and we'll be all set.

We'll be out in CA from 8/6 - 8/19 but only at DLR from 8/15 - 8/19. We'll be celebrating DD's birthday Party at Ariel's Grotto Smile

Christmas in Disneyland is one of the best places to go. But be well aware of the massive crowds. I went there last Christmas and I've never seen it that bad in all my years. 4th of July wasn't nearly as bad as it was that christmas. But it was in the middle of the 50th celebration so that's a good excuse. just wanna give my input thatz all. Very Happy

Thanks...we go right after Thanksgiving...NO CROWDS!!! This is the fifth year for this particular trip and we just made our ressies today to stay at The Grand Californian...now this will be a holiday trip to remember!

I'm so ready to go to DL!! I'll head over Friday afternoon and then one day on the weekend (at least). I'm hoping to be able to just chill for awhile there...just decompress from life in the PacNW!!

I do have to say that overall i 've felt the crownds have been much larger when I've been in the parks during the 50th compared to recent years at the same times...

I just went to Disneyland last weekend for the first time and all I can say is wow!! I had an absolute blast and the weather was great. My family and I make yearly trips to WDW, but work brought me out to Cali and I had to make the trip... In fact I'm going back tomorrow for the day before I fly out on Friday I had so much fun... The rumblings are true, it is smaller can be done in less days, but it is definitely worth the nostagilic value that you get at Disneyland... Being from Ohio, I think anytime of the year would be great out here... Smile

If it's not lake weather, it's river weather in the south...

This weekend is the first Disney Land half marathon. And kray should be on her way, or getting ready to head out.

Let's wish her good luck.

Kray, we want a trip report and pictures when you get back. We'll hound you until we hear.

Have a great run. And enjoy!
