UAB on mobile devices

I've had great luck with WinAmp for Android on my Samsung SII - UAB while making dinner is fantastic!

Hi everyone-

I threw out this idea back in 2008/2009 -

I'd like to do an iPhone app for free (I've done a dozen or so, and have been a mac developer for 26 years).

Would anyone be interested in an iPhone app that would allow for easier login, request making, comments etc. (e.g. it would be native, not just using the big interface on a small screen)

It would require some minimal help from the UABMagic people-

Anyone?

And just to let everyone know, we've been discussing this for a while (off and on). And while we need to take some things into account, we're all for an iPhone/iPad/iPod app. Even Andriod!!

Thanks for including us Droid users in a possible app for UAB - would love it and be willing to pay a small fee for using it - not that I pay for any other app - but UAB is VERY special and close to my heart ... Smile

I have heard that an ADROID App is being worked on as we listen to the land - hopefully it will come together soon and us non-iPhone users will have something special Smile

Shoutcast works fine for me on iOS (although 99% of the time I'm listening on a PC). An app seems like overkill for what is essentially a music stream, but being able to vote for tracks and post comments without switching back to Safari would be cool.

Hey everybody!

I just wanted to let you know that I've published an Android app for UAB! You can view it here. You can sign in, view now playing info, rate and request songs, and manage your favorites list.

Dedications are coming as well as some speed improvements.

There is also a Windows 8 app here. This app is very basic currently but signing in and rating/requesting/etc. will be available soon.

I am going to begin work on an iPhone app next week and a Windows Phone 8 app is already in development.

Please let me know what you think!

So glad you are able to go public with your app - it has been awesome to be able to listen to UAB when I don't have computer access and with the additions you have made and those that are coming it will be even better - look forward to listening to UAB on our upcoming road trip to DL for our Holiday visit - thx for all your hard work Smile

I have been using the Android app rorpage created all weekend and I give it an A. It is nice to see what is playing, rate tracks and request all in one place. I recommend it for 1.99 it is worth it.
