I think we need a frank discussion on the future of Bob Spastic. As a faithful listener of UAB, I have heard every track in the library over the last 12 years and seen the site grow from a handful of listeners to a membership in the thousands. Since I work from home, I have UAB playing all day which I never grow tired of (with a few exceptions, i.e Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade, the Firehouse Five Plus Two, and IASW recording tracks...ugh!), which brings us to Bob Spastic.
I don't know what other UABers feel, but I think it's time for him to retire. I have resorted to hitting the mute button as soon as I hear him say 'Click it, fill it, and send it!'... How do other UABers feel about him? Maybe we can record new PSA's and station ID's. What do you think? _________________ John
Bob was entertaining in his youth, but he has not aged very well.
My concern is where could we find his replacement at a reasonable cost, and what would a poor man with just 1 UAB commercial in 12 years going to be able to do if he loses this gig.
