Dapper Dans leaving Disneyland

All 4 of the Dapper Dans have been replaced with 4 new Dans....::sigh:::

Ok this is Sad for sure.. but WHY is this news! They are not the original 4 nor are they even close!

The Dans have been at Disneyland since 1959, and have gone through many cast changes.

Look at this picture from thier website

This story has been around the net for months, and this is something that happens quite regularly if you look at their history. Their WEBSITE doesn't even say anything about them leaving, because it's common.

Granted those 4 were great and funny and I enjoyed seeing them, but to be honest..I remember seeing them when I was young, loved them then too and they were different people!

There have been many Billy Hill and the Hillbilies too!

And so ends my turn on the SoapBox Cool

how do you write up a job description for this kind of thing, anyway? where would you even post it? in the classifieds under 'esoterica?' i'm guessing trade mags or something. and word of mouth.

'we need a barbershop quartet. experience with degan organ chimes a real plus...'

one of the existing dapper dans told me that one of the guys thats there now got a call in spot in case someone gets sick, but otherwise, they are all out. Sad

Gotta disagree with you there Dave....especially under the conditions that the old DDs were let go....What a bunch of crap.

I don't understand what was so different about how they were let go, versus the way all the other Dan's were let go???

Any light you can shed would be helpful in my understanding! Otherwise...to me it seemed to be the same way the others went. Contract up...next...
