Hey all you UAB Members!

If you’ve been in the forums, you may have noticed that we’re getting spammed from time to time. The Forum Software we use is pretty old (I believe cavemen created this version!) So, to bring us up to a more modern type of forum software, we’ll be migrating from what we have now to a newer version. The plus side is it’ll work better, give us options to thwart spammers, and have more modern features. The down side is we will not be able to bring the current content of the forums into the new software. While this is somewhat of a pain and inconvenience, overall, it’ll be a better solution.

But all will not be lost. Since there are things in the forums we would never want to lose, we will keep the old forums available for viewing only (we will lock them down from posting/editing).

Eventually, we are hoping to upgrade the entire site, but for the short term, we can at least get the forums more up to date.
