I was shopping last night for DVDs, and was reminded how much I wish the "Mouse Factory" was out on DVD . . .

I even wish the old LP was re-released . . .

Hi there. I too miss the "Mouse Factory" show. I caught it when it was on the Disney
Channel, ( when they were really about Disney). I also noticed that Ward Kimball; one
of Walt's 'nine old men' directed many, if not all, of the episodes.

I guess it just goes to show that Disney does have a sense of humor about it-
self. At least when it comes its toons.

Ah, memories! Later, peace.

blinkereye123: I find that Ward Kimball seemed to take a much larger role after Walt died. His work always seemed goofier, and often more surreal than other Disney work, which is why I love the Mouse Factory. I still can't believe they got rid of World of Motion, it was one of his best works!

onecutemoose: I think "Minnie's Yoo Hoo" first appeared in a cartoon of the same name in 1930 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0277151/). I've never seen it. I'm not sure whether or not it is on DVD. You can hear "Minnie's Yoo Hoo" with lyrics in the "Disney World Is Your World" "Main Street" segment right here on UAB!

Wish they'd release this stuff on DVD!

Hi folks.

jbohn: In my opinion Ward's work was always the most enjoyable because it was goofy and surreal. And it didn't go unnoiced; after all he did win the oscar for "It's Tough
To Be A Bird". But then again, it was the 60s: everything was goofy and surreal Very Happy .

I also remember "Minnie's YooHoo" from a b&w 1930s short. It's amazing how well it
stands up, classic Disney tune.

Anyway, sorry for the delay. Hectic summer and all that. Peace.
