Where did the collection come from?

I have been listening for a while now, but this is my first venture into the message board. I'm sure that this has already been discussed and answered, so reply with a link to the thread where it is addressed.

Here are my questions:
Where did this vast inventory of music come from? There are some amazing originals that I would expect that only someone with access to the Disney library would have access to. I've seen a number of these files in the torrent world, but nothing this vast. Any background on how this collection was formed would be greatly appreciated.
