Your Opinion Is Lassiter/Igor modelled after Walt/Roy?

Hey all,

I just finished reading an interesting article by Jim Hill about how John Lassiter is pushing the creative people in Imagineering for the AA figures in DCA and the toys that they are producing for more accurracy and features and I wonder...

Is the team of Lassiter and Igor similar to the old Walt/Roy team where John comes up with the ideas and pushes for quality and Igor runs the books and supervises the business side of things?

I see John Lassiter as "gettting" the Disney concepts of quality and Igor has been making good "business' choices...perhaps they need to work closer together like the old team of Eisner/Wells before Wells passed away and Eisner tried running everything "MY WAY".

I think Lassiter "gets it", and hope he has sucess in his efforts. Iger I think is trying to get it, but I don't think he has it. I think he still needs to learn to place customers ahead of shareholders. And I have doubts if he can do it.

I agree that Lassiter gets it. I'm not sure Iger does, although there is hope. Let's face it, the shareholders need to be thought of first from an economics standpoint, that's why they invest and that's why there is money available to make things happen. BUT...if they DO put the guests first, that will bring more guests to the parks and to the theaters and to the stores and that, in turn, will bring in more money to the shareholders.

And raising gate prices is NOT the way to do it.
