I've heard rumors since April that Carousel of Progress was getting a make-over for the 40th anniversary of WDW. If this is true, I hope they don't ruin it. For example changing the theme song back to "Now is the Time." I'm nervous and excited for this update.

I hate the Now is the Time version. It ruined the attraction. Disney was smart to change it back in 1994.

Most likely it wouldn't change all that much. New voice cast as All of the main cast for ANY version has since past away. The problematic thing is that to keep CoP relevant with it's "purpose" the "jumps" will be way off.
Originally when it started CoP had a jump of 20 years (turn of the century, roarin' 20s, frantic 40s, 1960s/present). Then in 74 when it went to WDW it had a jump of 30 years, then with the redo again in 94, the jump was 50 years. Now you're looking at a jump of almost 70 years.
As someone who is DEEPLY INVOLVED in ANYTHING from the 20s to the 40s I'm ALL for keeping the carousel with it's current time periods, but realstically A LOT has progressed between 1940 and 2009.
I wish it got the treatment of the Tiki Room. To the Smithsonian should it ever leave a Disney park.

Now is the time should be brought back to remember the 70's as they were wow i miss it just like i really miss if you had wings
instead of cop like it is how about a cop on how tomorrow land has changed over the years?
