Concerns of unofficial/unsupported Iphone / Mobile Apps

Good Morning UAB!


We're going through another dusting off of some old projects and trying to get a few things in line for you the listening Community. At this time however, I feel that it is necessary to address something that's just been brought to my attention this morning and that is, an unofficial fan created iphone app.

While we DEFINITELY appreciate the enthusiasm and the motivation for anyone in our community to take the time to develop such an application, this is done separately and independent of Utilidors Audio Broadcasting at this time. As such, we can make no claims as to how well/poorly it works, and any fees that are charged for such an application are done without the prior consent or knowledge of Utilidors Audio Broadcasting.

As you can see, we've made no announcements of any official UAB mobile app. As soon as we do. You can bet we'll be overly excited for the announcement.

Again, we thank you for your added enthusiasm and we applaud the efforts of anyone wanting to get involved with UAB, something we ALWAYS try to encourage, however it's probably best for everyone that the UAB Admin staff be involved in any such developments relating to UAB.

Oh, well. Good to know.

I will uninstall that app now. It isn't functioning, anyway, and I have no interest in supporting something that isn't endorsed by the UAB.
