This conversation illustrates the diversity of the members of the UAB community very well. We all have our likes and dislikes. Sometimes the comments seem negative, though I take it more as a tongue-in-cheek joke than someone getting hostile over it.
To put it bluntly, if someone is getting hostile over a music track from a theme park, they probably need to reevaluate their priorities in life. It's here for everyones enjoyment, and since everyone has different tastes, we try to accomodate a selection that people enjoy. Hence the reason why we have multiple Haunted Mansion and Pirate ridethroughs, (and there's more to come soon! ).
With that being said.
I tolerate most of what plays, with the deep understanding that this is YOUR broadcast. HOWEVER there is ONE and ONLY ONE track that I confess that I'll trigger a skip if I catch it playing while listening AND nobody's requested it; The 25 minute space mountain sound affects"area music" from the 1970s. I can't sit through a track that sounds like the 1970s version of soothing Skrillex for 25 minutes.
Anyone requesting it as revenge after this admission will lose all of their flyer miles . |

Say what you will about the Indiana Jones/Forbidden Eye generator noises track. At least it's not 25 minutes.
Oh! Speaking of which, there is a hidden version of that one floating around in the library that pops up from time to time. I had completely forgotten about it until making that joke. |

It's all in fun. Isn't Small World music known for driving people nuts?? But it's classic and I personally love it and have it in my favorites. Of course there are tracks I like better than others, but even the "worst" tracks on this site are better to listen to than any other options out there!
It's like a box of chocolates - some are good - some aren't - but I bet we've all gotten a "bad" one, complained about it, but eaten it anyways and we will continue do it over and over again
As for the generator - I have that in my fav's too - so take that! I love it and I could care less what other people think.
Now about that Bear in the Big Blue House............Grrrrrrrr |

When I first started working for the Disney Store that show had just come out on the Disney channel. That lovely song played ALL the time in the store. I'm with Beth on that track! _________________ *~deb~*

I'm STILL trying to get someone to see the Playhouse Disney Show in DCA.
Maybe in September....... _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

If anything, the differences in opinions make this place even better... who can forget the great Off Kilter/Poly wars that were fought in the past.... Ahhhhh... good times, good times! _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |
